I will aim to keep you up to date with the general happenings around our lovely region.
My role is to assist the Noosa Biosphere Ltd with communications. My background is varied, but predominantly anchored in agribusiness and business services marketing and communications. My husband and I set up a locally based business called Noosa Boardroom some years ago and we have been active volunteers in the local business community every since. I have been a volunteer on the Economic Sector Board for over 3 years.

Queensland is a great place. There are opportunities in Queensland that don't exist in most places in the world. Life's good. But not for some and that is where my passion lies.
We have a chance at social justice if we maintain a strong and healthy democracy. I'll write on topics that stimulate discussion about the balance between not enough and too much.

I am member of the social board and will be holding a temporary blogging role.
Until more bloggers have been trained up and also funding for extending the site license has been secured, I will add 'Women and the Biosphere' related information and opinions to the mix.
I live and work in Noosa with my 2 girls - having been involved in various green and social projects in Germany and the UK in the past.

Hi, I'm Michael. My wife and I have lived in Noosa since 2005 having been visitors for some 20 years prior to purchasing here and emerging ourselves in the lifestyle. Positions of relevance:
I have held Green Globe Accreditation and certification in Eco-tourism Management. I have trained many nature-based operators in the Asia-Pac region. My board skills are governance and strategy. I come from an international management and consulting background with environmental experience ranging from Ramsar sites to national parks in Australia, Asia and the US.
My Noosa Biosphere Reserve interests are in contributing to thinking in and around processes and projects that build on the legacy inherited by Noosa Biosphere Ltd from those who came before us and to create a solid foundation for others who will follow.
Backgrounds in arts and entertainment, IT and government also come in handy at times.
Along with Kate English and Sonia Marshall, I also present 'Voices of the Biosphere', weekly on Friday @ 11am on Noosa Community Radio 101.3 FM.

My name is Phillip Moran and I have lived in Noosa for the last 17 years. I currently hold the following positions:
I am passionate about our bush and live on 33 acres on land in the Hinterland. This property was the first property declared a Nature Refuge in our region. I've recieved the Birnett Mary Regional Groups [BMRG] Natural Resource Management Mentor Award in October 2009. I am particularly interested in education and killing weeds!

I am very proud to be a Kabi Kabi woman working to engage the community in various economic and cultural activities. I am a member of the Social Sector Board and representative on the Governance Board.
I have worked in the public sector for the past two decades managing high profile Indigenous and youth projects all over Queensland. I was project manager for a Youth Suicide Prevention Service in Brisbane, and then became an Indigenous Policy Youth Affairs Officer for the State Government.
I organised Queensland’s first Indigenous Youth Leadership Conference and then held two roles for Brisbane City Council. I have been a Company Director of the Queensland Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Legal Service and a member of the Australian Corporate Company Directors.
I now run a small business as a showcase of the dreams and passions of my cultural heritage.
