Groups, Organisations and Initiatives
The Noosa community is very lucky to have so many passionate people supporting biosphere reserve aims in their own way. From the coast to the hinterland, volunteerism, activism, social and business networking are all alive and well. We have also included groups who extend or undertake their activities beyond the immediate Noosa Biosphere Reserve boundaries.

4 Paws Animal Rescue
Putting a stop to the number of animals that die or are killed each year in local pounds.
Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors’ Australian Wildlife Hospital
The Australian Wildlife Hospital treats approximately 800 sick, injured and orphaned koalas each year. The hospital’s research scientists are at the forefront of koala disease research.
Australian Koala Foundation
The Australian Koala Foundation is solely dedicated to the conservation and effective management of the wild koala and it habitat. By fostering a koala at Dreamworld, you can support the AKF’s strategic koala habitat research, conservation and education projects.

Bat Rescue
Members are permitted under the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) to care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
