Competition Details

The 2012 Dr Christy Fellows Award for Sustainability competition is open to all Noosa Biosphere Reserve high school students from years 8-12.

What the Project is about:

What do you love about living in this place and what do you hope for the future?

Create a multi-modal project including videos, songs, poems, essays, photostories or artworks focusing on sustainability within the Noosa Biosphere.

Closing Date: 3pm September 1, 2012

Finalists will be announced at the Noosa Biosphere Festival on September 16, 2012.
Your work will be showcased on the day and will feature on the Noosa Biosphere website. You will even get to tell everyone about your ideas on the ‘Voices of the Biosphere’ radio program on Noosa Community Radio 101.3 FM.

Commemorating Dr. Christy Fellows

This annual competition has been established to commemorate the life and achievements of Dr Christy Fellows, a very promising young researcher and inaugural member of the Education, Research and Development Board, who died suddenly in December 2008.
