With the day close to arrival, Noosa Biosphere Day committee members are excited to announce the award winning Duke Wilde Band will be performing on the main stage at this year’s event on Sunday September 18th at Noosa Woods.
Get ready to rock with this unbelievably talented band, that has performed all over the country and will be jetting off after the Noosa Biosphere Day to Nashville, Tennessee to perform at the Americana Music Festival, alongside the world’s top country performers.
Along with Caitlyn Shadbolt & Aiming High also taking to the main stage, the day is set to be a stunner with performances, activities, workshops and plenty more that is a must see on the day. Starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm the kid’s will have entertainment happening throughout the day to keep them smiling, including a live Gecko’s Native Animals show, free face painting, a labyrinth and much more. Lunch will be provided by local service/ community clubs for purchase. A range of items will be available to purchase including vegetarian alternatives. Lunch vouchers will be provided for volunteers working in the exhibitions.
No alcohol will be sold at Noosa Biosphere Day. Cooroy Spring Water will be available, so bring your own cup and fill up for free. Let's keep Noosa Biosphere Day plastic free.
Internet will be available via a free WiFi Hotspot courtesy of Telstra. Details of logon will be provided on request.
There will be a first aid marquee located adjacent to the entrance to the event (see diagram). Please assist by directing any persons injuring themselves to the marquee location.
There will be a bulk Spring Water container provided by Cooroy Mountain Springs Water located in the centre of the woods (see layout drawing). We encourage you and friends to bring along a reusable container and use this water free of charge.
If you have a product or story to tell about your display speak to the Biosphere Day Organisers¬ and arrange for yourself to present your topic in the Yarning Circle.
Toilets are located close by at the end of Hastings Street.
Disabled parking will be reserved near the site for easy access.
Between 6:30 am and 9:30 am. Cars must be out of the display area by 9:00 am. SES will be directing traffic and their instructions must be followed. Cars may be parked in the first car park on the left or right as you pass the main event area in the Noosa Woods.
If you are intending to set up a marquee in the event area, please send details of such to the organiser Tony Haslam Ph 5449 8118 or email at anthonyhaslam@optusnet.com.au. No marquee is to be independently erected before speaking to a Biosphere Organiser (white shirt/ green Biosphere stamp). They will advise you of requirements.
Each Tent will contain - 1 trestle table (Approx 1.8 X 0.8) and at least 2 chairs.

Electricity will be available on site from the generators and in situ supply. Organisers/ displays need to advise us if they wish to connect to power and also how many points they wish to utilise.
From 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Cars will not be allowed onto the display area until 4:00 pm.
SES will be directing traffic and their instructions must be followed.
Noosa Biosphere Day organisers ask that you to clean up your site before you leave, returning all recyclable/ compostable and non recycle waste to the appropriate bins placed around the park. If you are unsure please ask the Biosphere Day Organisers. Let us leave the site as we have found it.
We want to advise as many people as we can about the Noosa Biosphere and there are coloured flyer/ brochures on the aims and objectives of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves. If you can help in events that you are at over the next month please contact Helen Gregory at email Helen.Gregory@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au or phone 5449 5122 and she will send you some in the mail.

We are lucky enough to have the SES to assist with parking arrangements and general traffic flow. Please help this great service/ community club by adhering to their requests. They will be in bright ORANGE suits on the day.
