The Resort has successfully initiated a BiobiN to turn wet kitchen waste and food scraps into high grade mulch. The BiobiN contents are taken to The Yard Landscape & Garden Centre Doonan for completion of the composting cycle. More >>

Positive results have provided both financial savings and the measured reduction of our carbon footprint. These initiatives go beyond simply preventing pollution and limiting the use of resources. By “doing more with less” our efficiencies increase, we reduce waste and pollution, which then leads to lower business costs and fewer adverse effects on the environment. More >>

We reduced the Resort's annual energy consumption by 1.263 TJ, equivalent to the annual energy consumption of more than 59 average Queensland homes; reduced annual electricity costs by thousands of dollars; and reduced the annual potable water usage by 9ML, equivalent to more than 3.5 Olympic-sized swimming pools. More >>
