Palmview, Caloundra South and Glenview are manifestations of the Federal government's lack of a population policy and the more aggressive development lobby's influence on the State government.
In this regard population management Noosa style is very much an issue that Noosa Biosphere committees and individuals should be concerning themselves with as a matter of urgency. The Palmview matter is a direct assault on the principles and precedents established by Noosa's population cap.
It is an attack on democracy. If I remember correctly Sunshine Coast Regional Council Mayor was voted into his position by a majority of people in every division on the basis of his planning in Noosa.
Are we going to sit back and let it happen?
