Please come and join us. The social board is finding fresh approaches to make the Biosphere community 'heard'.
We are committed to community well-being, to capture issues, concerns and also opportunities. This is the first of our 'Yarning Circle' Series - 'Conversations in the community'.
Closing the Gap to the Hinterland
The Noosa Biosphere has for various reasons often got a 'Noosa focus'. We'd like to address this and make efforts to 'close the gap to the Hinterland' - which is of course an important part of the Noosa Biosphere reserve. Some of Noosa's issues are the same or similar to the Hinterland's. Other's are very specific. We'd like to hear about it.
There might also be assumptions and perhaps miss-conceptions of what we are about, who we are and what we are trying to do. Ask us all the questions... 'What you always wanted to know about the Biosphere and never had a chance to ask.
Come and chat to us.

'I wish...' - an experiment
At the market we will capture your suggestions and issues - not in a survey or in a statistic - but on 'wish' cards. You will have the opportunity to write your wish for yourself or your community on a card. We will photograph this and add the images to a gallery.
To illustrate our experiment have a look at this flickr stream - a message for Obama. Our experiment is very much in the spirit of it.
So please come and see us, have a yarn and take part in this exciting experiment!
... and you know what I wish for? I wish for fine weather on Saturday.
It would be lovely to see you then.
