Work has finally started on producing the text for the site. Some of this is coming from sector boards, some from our research and some from the original UNESCO submission document. We'll be liasing with experts along the way to ensure accuracy of course but we're still short of photographs. More >>

Perhaps to a lot of people the biosphere still won’t mean much yet and that’s why I think the website is an important thing to get right. I only moved to this area in 2008 but I get the sense it’s been highly anticipated. I’m told the first 18 months of Noosa Biosphere Limited (the governing body) were rather a frustrating time for all concerned because the council’s amalgamation delayed progress on establishing the required infrastructure. But I believe there is a good team assigned to the website project now. Things have certainly moved quickly since the appointment of PunkLogic to design and build the site. The open tender process took several months to complete and included two interview stages for shortlisted suppliers.
