What a beautiful day yesterday, with fabulous weather we were also spoilt for choice with interesting things to do. if you didn't go down to Mooloolaba to cheer Jess on, or go to the opening of the brand new Cooroy Library you also had the opportunity to join the many thousands at World Environment Day at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
A big thanks to the many volunteers at the event, and in particular the many Noosa Biosphere Volunteers who helped out at our stand. As you can see (below), it certainly got busy at times!
Volunteers on the day included Tony Haslam, Peter Homan, Celia Jones, Kate English, Neil Tindale, Jill Campbell and Mary-Jane Weld. We also had others who were willing to help outl, but given we had it covered, we let them go off and enjoy the surrounds and spread the word throughout the festival.
We even had a few high profile visitors, Councillor Keryn Jones (below left) dropped by to have a chat! Keryn has the Environment portfolio within the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
Now we are well practiced for the upcoming Noosa Festival of Water at Cooroy's Lake Macdonald on Sunday 20th of June.
See you there!
