Tune in tomorrow (and every Friday) to 101.3FM at 11am for the weekly Noosa Biosphere Radio segment: Voices of the Biosphere.
We are planning a mix of ‘studio live’ interviews with Ross Duncan, who is Council's Manager of Learning Communities, and Sonia Marshall, Lecturer at Sunshine Coast Institute and TAFE. These will be conducted by the new co-host Kate English and Kate will also include information in and around her Climate Change background in the USA as an adviser to President Clinton.
Also going to air will be pre-recorded interviews with both Jan Davey, our local Bat expert and Wildlife Volunteers Association (WILVOS) representative Donna Anthony.
Some Interview subjects are pre-recorded the week before and added to the magazine style radio show to complement the regular behind the scenes news stories and commentary.
Last week Michael interviewed Seonaid Melville the Chair of the Environment sector Board of Noosa Biosphere Ltd and this week Michael will air the interview with Greg Livingstone, the Chair of the Economic Sector Board. Interviews with our Noosa Biosphere volunteers about the Board priorities and their projects are a regular and ongoing feature of the show.
In the future 'pipeline' are interviews with myself about biosphere communications and Ian Purnell a Noosa resident who is a bagpipe player in the Noosa Pipe and Drum Band.
Next month the radio show will bring in other presenters to help share the load... More on that later!
If you have any questions or comments for the radio show, Michael would love to hear from you via email or SMS. The show is designed to be participatory and often Michael can answer your queries over the airwaves - but best to get your comments/questions in early!
