For those of you unable to attend the 'Celebrating your biosphere' launch events, including the Community Forum......well..... unfortunately you missed out on a great opportunity to network with Biosphere volunteers and members of the broader community.
But don't despair! There will be other opportunities in the near future, as each Sector Board are planning a series of community engagement activities.
The biggest highlight last week was the visit from Dr Ishwaran, from UNESCO.
Ish (as he likes to be referred to) didn't have a spare moment as he was kept on the move during a jam packed visit of our region, including a visit to our northern neighbours at the Great Sandy Biosphere.
Other highlights of the two day set of events include the Indigenous Gubbi Gubbi dance troop with our very own Lyndon Davis; The premiere of the Noosa Biosphere film from the Noosa Federation of the Arts; The launch of this website! and a very interesting discussion at our Community Forum.

L:R Frank Pardon (Noosa Biosphere Governance Board), Dr Ishwaran (UNESCO) and Cr Lew Brennan (Sunshine Coast Regional Council)
