The ClimateSmart Business Cluster Program helps Queensland small and medium business lower greenhouse gas emissions, save on energy, water, materials and waste, and reduce business costs. Expressions of interest close 17 November 2010!
Since the program commenced in 2009, 60 Clusters consisting of over 1000 businesses from Brisbane to Cairns and out to Longreach, have participated. Business Clusters provide a forum for business groups to work together, grow and conduct business in cleaner ways. A Cluster Leader will motivate, improve knowledge and assist participants to reduce business costs by improving eco-efficiency.
Funding of $10,000 is available for approved clusters. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Cluster Leader read the fact sheet or email the Clusters team at business.clusters@derm.qld.gov.au.

If you’re looking for some extra expertise when it comes to preparing your sustainability plan of attack, or if you just need some assistance in completing your ecoBiz spreadsheets, an ecoBiz Facilitator may be just what you’re looking for.
ecoBiz Facilitators are trained in various forms of environmental management, and may specialise in a certain area of resource management e.g. energy reduction, or in a certain industry sector e.g. agriculture. On a fee-for-service basis, an ecoBiz Facilitator may be able to assist you in determining the best technologies or programs to implement to reduce your resource usage, and to assist you in completing the ecoBiz program.
