Spent a pleasant and informative evening on Tuesday (8th Feb) with the nice folks of the Cooroy Chamber of Commerce talking about biosphere and business opportunities. They really caught on quickly that good biosphere is also good business alignment. Great support from Deputy Chair Phil Moran and Cr Lew Brennan plus director Ron Nissan to an audience of some 30 local active Chamber members. Hopefully they are keen to drive their own biosphere thinking as its all doesn’t have to come from the main group. We used a PowerPoint by the Economic Sector guys adapted by Anne Lawrence of Communications and it worked really well.
Cooroy businesses are very promotional minded, positive and active as part of Hinterland economics. Also thanks to Jennifer for offering to distribute Noosa Biosphere Reserve brochures to Lake Macdonald residents. Much appreciated.
For information on the Cooroy Storm Water Education Project, check out Anne's earlier blog on how Cooroy residents can get involved.

Michael
