What are you doing tomorrow for Australia Day? Why don't you head on down to Gympie Terrace for breakfast and then stick around for a day of celebration.

When: from 7am onwards, Wed 26th of January
There will be music, park ablaze with colour, marquees, food vans, local stalls, Australia Themes, entertainment. The event is a joint initiative of the Tewantin Noosa Lions, Rotary Club of Noosa Heads clubs and the Noosa News, and the event is supported by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
TIMETABLE:
7AM – 10 AM: Big Rotary Club Breakfast of bacon, eggs, tomato, sausages, orange, tea or café under the marquee. River events and a flotilla will progress through the morning with visits from sail boats, stand up paddlers and Coast Guard Vessels. Bush poetry at breakfast by John Major, music interludes. Merry go round and jumping castle, face painting-Cool Faces, Jelly Beads and community stalls throughout the day.
8:45 AM: Arrival of Floating parade, music by Noosa Pipe Band, flag raising by Sea Scouts. All persons on Ferry / flotilla to assemble at Noosa Coast Guard by 8:15 am.
9:00 AM: Citizenship registration, with welcome of guests. Citizenship ceremony starts at 9:15 am.
9:30 AM to 11:15 AM: Lions Citizenship ceremony, MC Sybil Kellner, Warren truss officiating,welcome by Dr. Eve Fesl, Noosa Chorale and Noosa Folk Dancing, National Dress Competition.
10:00 AM to 2 PM: Lions Lunch from the Vans and lunch under the marquee. Lions will provide Aussie themed lunch of hamburgers, steaks, salads, hot dogs, chips and drinks/ice cream.
11:15 AM to 12:30 PM: Rotary and Lions Local Legends Award in four categories- Environment, Community Service, Youth Initiative , and Past Services. Local dignitaries on stage.
12:30 PM to 2:00 PM: An Entertainment program for all to participate- Dan and Jack, X- Factor finalist Andrew Lawson, Zumba Dance Party.
