Noosa Biosphere supports moves to raise funds and awareness about the Eumundi Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre as it moves towards a more sustainable model to ensure its future. The centre has been run by Gill and Col Brownhill with volunteer assistance for the past 14 years but as Col is now in full-time care the centre is now planning to employ a caretaker and need to build their operational funding base. Gill and Col Brownhill have been running the Eumundi Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre with the assistance of volunteers since its inception 14 years ago. The Centre provides a service that covers the whole Sunshine Coast taking in roughly 1500 patients a year and caring for them until they are ready to be released into a suitable habitat. More >>

A group of 25 students and 5 faculty members from the University of Georgia (USA) arrived in Noosa yesterday. They will spend the next several days exploring our beautiful biosphere reserve. This is the fourth visit by the University and each visit has anywhere between 25-125 students learning about best practice approaches to sustainability in Australia. More >>

The Peregian dunes near the skate bowl are showing the effects of many footprints enjoying the area. On Sunday 27th November, 33 volunteers joined the North Peregian Community Nature Conservation group to rehabilitate the dunes near the main entrance to Peregian main beach. More >>
